Lip Balm Obsessed!!

I'm normally not one to buy makeup from a drugstore, but I've fallen head over heels for L'Oreal's Color Riche Lip Balm and Revlon's ColorBurst Lip Butter. They provide a beautiful, sheer wash of color AND it adds hydration to your lips. Both L'Oreal and Revlon have a wide variety of shades to choose from.

My favorites are Creamsicle by Revlon and Pink Satin by L'Oreal. Creamsicle is a soft peachy-nude color, and Pink Satin is an ultra-feminine flush of baby pink. I'm obsessed with the dewy, no-makeup look at the moment, and both colors work very well with it. At less than $8 a pop, you have no excuse not to try them.
*L'Oreal Colour Riche Lip Balm has SPF 15. Perfect for a sunny, summer day.

Beach Bums permitted.

Enjoying a beach day in Miami before Holly heads to New York next month. Top Secret business, but we'll be sure to fill you in on all the details as soon as we can.

We only tan on cloudy days, that explains the paleness for two Florida gals.

Beach day tip: Holly's favorite sun screen product, the only one she would ever recommend, is LaVanilla. Its 100% natural, chemical-free, moisturizing, and provides UVA/UVB protection. It's a little pricey, $28 for 1.8 oz, but totally worth it!

Lighten Up!

Concealer? Check! Foundation? Check! Highlighter? Hmm...
Sorry ladies, but I have another staple to add to your makeup arsenal: a highlighter. I never thought it was necessary as long as you used a decent concealer until I tried Givenchy's Mister Light Instant Light Corrective Pen. Oh. My. Goodness. Amazing!!! Where do I even begin?!?!? Highlighters reflect light (help to diminish fine lines) and brighten (lighten up dark areas). The texture is a creamy decadence, and it stays that way. I applied it with my ring finger (I prefer to use my finger rather than use the applicator) under my eyes wherever I noticed any darkness. I also applied the highlighter around my mouth area where I have slight wrinkles. (emphasis on the word "slight")

Apply Mister Light after foundation and concealer. You may apply powder before or after---OR none at all. This product has little to no creasing! If it does happen to crease, use your finger to smooth it out. It also looks great on top of BB Cream and no powder if you're going for a minimal look.
There are many luxury highlighters out on the market. The leading one is YSL Touché Éclat. I recommend Givenchy Mister Light over YSL. Try it out. You'll immediately see why.
