Mad Ice: Let law take its own course

Tanzanian artist living in Finland Mad Ice has joined the care2 petition which urges Tanzanian to stop killing thieves and let the law take action.

“My dear Tanzanian friends, I know you hate thieves but stoning and killing them in broad daylight is not a way to go” he wrote in his facebook page.

“ Acheni sheria ichukue mkondo wake tafadhali! That being said, I call upon my fellow musicians and everyone out there to sign this petition going out to H.E Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete of the United Republic of Tanzania. Together we can stop this from happening”.

The petition which is sponsored by Sandra Cardoso seeks 1,000 endorsements and so far more than a hundred people had endorsed it.

“This absurd happens often in Tanzania. The Tanzanian citizens do this themselves. Tanzanians MUST STOP THE KILLING by STONE/BURNING or any other horrible torture death”, the statement on the petition states.

“For anyone, including a tourist who sees such a horrifying practice is traumatised. Many Tanzanian children watch this regularly. How do these children feel in their surroundings after seeing one of these executions?”
