Another day, another DUI in Hollywood – Bloginity has learned that Rick Springfield, known best for his 1980s hit “Jessie’s Girl,” was arrested in Los Angeles Sunday night on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Springfield’s blood alcohol level was .10, which is higher than the limit of .08 mandated by the state of California.
Springfield, who is 61, was pulled over for a traffic violation, and the officer then smelled alcohol and administered field sobriety tests. Springfield failed and was arrested, but was released after posting $5,000 bail.
Springfield was last making headlines with his music, as “Jessie’s Girl” reached number one in 1981. Springfield managed to make his way onto television as well, performing as Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital.
