Country Music Television (CMT) is gathering the help of country musicians to put on a benefit concert to help the victims of the recent tornadoes in the South.
Alabama was especially hit hard when the roaring winds ripped through the heart of the country and many people have lost everything. Fellow Americans have lost homes and family members in this natural disaster, but relief is on the way.
The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund has partnered with CMT to bring the big names out to get everyone to donate to a good cause. This marks the second time in a year that the two have partnered to bring relief.
ABC News has revealed that country stars Hank Williams Jr., Alabama, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, and Tim McGraw will join other stars in this 90-minute benefit concert.
The concert will take place May 12 in Nashville, says the Nashville Business Journal.
Last week’s tornado took the lives of 329 people and many areas of Alabama were flattened. Hank Williams Jr. is especially upset as he calls Alabama his home -- it’s where his parents are buried and it’s where he wants to be as well.
Americans, in the true spirit of our country, will be out in full force to help out across the nation, to get relief to as many as they can.
