Young actors on the scene play young versions of "The X-Men" in the new flick "X-Men: First Class." Actress Jennifer Lawrence plays blue-skinned heroine "Mystique."
Fresh off her Oscar nominated performance in "Winter's Bone", Jennifer Lawrence, 20, is proving she can adapt to many different roles.
In the high profile "X-Men: First Class", she co-stars as a younger "Mystique" -- a dream role in a franchise she grew up watching.
"I feel really fortunate. I feel really lucky 'cause I'm doing movies that I love and that I'm really proud to be a part of," Lawrence says. "I haven't really looked at it like I'm on a roll I just kinda look at it like oh my gosh I love these movies."
Fitting into her custom made costume, took a little getting used to. "I wish it was an outfit, it was body paint."
"You're still kinda standing there virtually naked in front of a lot of people about to go on camera that will exist somewhere forever. Um but it didn't get me too bad. I sucked in when they called action. But it is a lot of pressure, yeah."
Up next, she will co-star in the much hyped adaptation of "The Hunger Games" -- a movie causing quite a stir on the web.
"I don't really go on the internet," Lawrence admits. "I don't think that's a good thing to do and I never went on it before so. So, I'm not quite sure of all of the comments and hype going on. I know there is a lot and there's a lot of fans because I'm one of them."
During filming she wanted to wear her "Mystique" costume for Halloween.
"That's exactly what I wanted to do. I was like why am I taking off the best Halloween costume in the world? I had to take all my makeup off and go as a parrot."
