Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Proudly Admit They Have a Favorite Child (VIDEO)

Kelly Ripa and Mark Conseulos proudly plowed through a long-held parenting taboo on 'Rachael Ray' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC), when they admitted they have a favorite child. It wasn't one of those spontaneous 'gotcha' moments that can happen on talk shows; the couple clearly wanted to tell everyone, including their two other children, that their son Joaquin is their favorite.

Ripa knowingly accused the audience of secretly playing favorites with their own children, as well. "You know in the event of an emergency there's one kid you'd reach for first," she joked. Consuelos said the other children are aware of their standing in the family and suggested they were to blame. "They know it, too. It's very accepted. He's just nicer to us." If Michael and Lola weren't nice before, things might be getting pretty ugly in the Consuelos/Ripa house soon.
