Parsons, New School For Design 2009 Fashion Benefit

Sarah Anne walks for celebrity event

Before she left for NY, I remember the days when she would beg me to teach her how to runway walk. We would tape the floors, put on the highest heels, turn on music, video record, and practice for hours… over and over and over.

Well…all that practicing definitely is paying off.

Parsons, New School For Design had there 2009 Fashion Benefit on Wednesday, April 29th at Cipriani’s Wall Street in NYC. Tickets started at $1,500 and the night included a reception, dinner, and fashion show (which she booked). The night was to honor this year's major contributors to the field of fashion designers which included President & CEO of Calvin Klein, Tom Murry, Francisco Costa, Women's Creative Director of the Calvin Klein collection, and Cathy Horyn, fashion critic for the New York Times.

Celebrities filled the room to support the awards and Parson’s School. Eva Mendes, Francisco Costa, Russell Simmons, Olivia Palermo, model Helena Christensen, Molly Sims, Marc Jacobs, Peter Som, Rachel Zoe, Donna Karan, and editor of Voguemagazine Anna Wintour were only a few of the celebrity guests.

Sarah Anne has officially been in New York for three months. Yes…only three months (minus her trip back to Miami for work) and she is continues to make progress in her career.
Other models seem to be using the economic situation and the over saturation of girls as an excuse to not move forward. Sarah is “trusting that I am always in the right place and the right time…always.” She says, “I am meeting so many amazing people and I understand the power of positive thinking.”
