Best Places To Live 2011: Louisville, Colorado Tops List

The Best Places to Live 2011 list was published on Monday by Money magazine, highlighting small towns across the country with populations of 50,000 or less.
The annual cover story, which hits stands August 19, focused on places with the perfect combination of job opportunities, fiscal strength, good schools, safety, good health care, cultural and outdoor activities, and even nice weather.
From the magazine's editors: "With the current state of the economy -- and the dispiriting sight of the nation's leaders endlessly battling about how to fix it -- the phrase 'small town' conjures up images of a happier time. When unemployment wasn't above 9%. When people didn't stress out about home values. When school budgets weren't under siege. Those were the days, right?"
Louisville, Colorado, a town 23 miles outside of Denver, topped the list this year with a strong economy, stable housing and plenty to do. The town has one of the lowest crime rates in Colorado, and was also ranked number one in 2009 by the magazine.
The top ten places to live are below.
1. Louisville, Colorado.
2. Milton, Massachusetts.
3. Solon, Ohio.
4. Leesburg, Virginia.
5. Papillon, Nebraska.
6. Hanover, New Hampshire.
7. Liberty, Missouri.
8. Middleton, Wisconsin.
9. Mukilteo, Washington.
10. Chanhassen, Minnesota.
