Diddy’s newest signee Machine Gun Kelly sure knows how to mobilize his fans, but after organizing a flash mob in Cleveland, Ohio’s South Park Mall on Saturday (August 20) MGK was taken away in cuffs and charged with disorderly conduct.
It all started on Friday when MGK tweeted “I’m thinking about doing a flash mob at a mall or something tomorrow lol cleveland should we do one while I’m home?”
The next day, Kelly tweeted, “Today we flash mob NO MATTER WHAT! 5pm at SouthPark mall in the foodcourt, wear disguises, dont move to you hear ‘Cleveland” play then RAGE!”
The Associated Press reported that a group of fans gathered Saturday. Mall management asked Kelly and two other people who were standing on a table to step down and when they refused the police were called and the rookie rapper was arrested. MGK however is no longer in custody.
After he was released Kells went back to the social messaging network to recap the day’s events: “All yall industry cats, yall wanna see a REAL movement? Holler at my fans. Today was a statement. EST till the death, lace up. Cult sh--.”
On August 3, Sean “Diddy” Combs appeared on “RapFix Live” and announced to fans that he had signed Machine Gun Kelly to his Bad Boy record label. "He has just such a movement, just hundreds and thousands of loyal fans that came from the place he came from in different parts of the country," Diddy gushed. "He wasn't always the coolest kid in school, and just the process of growing up and the problems that they all encounter, they relate to him in such a way."
