It's that time of year again, when garlic rules in the South Bay.
The yearly festival that celebrates the stinking rose will bring tens of thousands to Christmas Hill Park for the world-famous Gilroy Garlic Festival which kicks off Friday.
From gourmet alley to the famous fire-flash (or flame up) garlic cook-off and all the food booths in between, it's Gilroy's signature event.
This is the 33rd year of the festival, which will run through Sunday. Tickets start at $15.
Even if you aren't going to the festival, you should at least be aware it if you are traveling anywhere on Highway 101 in the South Bay. Traffic could be jammed from Prunedale to San Jose as festival goers make their way to Christmas Hill Park.
