Vodacom kuja na awamu ya pili ya tuzo za blog na website (VADE)
The Vodacom Awards for Digital Excellence (#VADE) were launched earlier last month on 11th July 2012 as a long term initiative to reward, support and develop local online media for outstanding work in the digital space.
These awards were designed to be fair, transparent and most importantly, non-discriminatory. The criteria and scoring system has been clearly laid out and communicated in different media channels to make the selection process as transparent as possible.
The first 10 fellows recognized, were selected based on this stringent scoring criterion (listed below). Now that the fellowship has taken foot, please stay tuned for announcement of the next phase of #VADE, where we look to recognize more people for their exemplary work in the digital space.
Until then, we commend the online community for the handwork they have put in to make the digital space reflect the vibrancy of Tanzania. Power to you.

Vodacom yapunguza gharama za simu katika mwezi Mtukufu wa Ramadhan
Kampuni ya simu za mkononi ya Vodacom Tanzania, imeanzisha ofya mpya ya mwezi mtukufu wa Ramadhan ambayo itawawezesha wateja wa mtandao huo kupiga simu bila kikomo, kutuma ujumbe mfupi wa maneno na kupata huduma za intanet kwa shilingi 250/= tu kwa siku.
Ofa hiyo mpya itakuwa ni kwa siku saba za wiki kuanzia saa tano usiku hadi saa moja asubuhi katika kipindi chote cha mwezi mtukufu wa Ramadhan. Ili mteja ajiunge na huduma hiyo, atatakiwa kupiga *102*250# ambapo ataweza kupiga simu kutoka Vodacom kwenda Vodacom, kutuma ujumbe mfupi wa maneno kwenda mitandao yote ya simu na kutumia intanet bila kikomo.
“Tumeona vyema tuwapatie njia rahisi ya kuwasiliana na ndugu, jamaa na marafiki kwa unafuu na ambayo wataifurahia tukijua kwamba waislamu walio wengi ni miongoni mwa wateja ambao wametuunga mkono kwa miaka mingi sasa. Tunataka nao wajisikie kuwa sehemu ya familia ya Vodacom katika kipindi hiki cha maombi,” alisema Meza.
Ofa hii imekuja wakati Vodacom Foundation inaendelea na kampeni yake ya Care and Share mkoani Tanga inayolenga kutoa misaada ya kifedha na vifaa mbalimbali kwa watoto yatima katika kipindi cha Mwezi wa Ramadhan.
Kampeni ya Care and Share inaadhimisha miaka mitano tangu kuzinduliwa kwake, huku ikitoa fursa ya kipekee kwa Vodacom Foundation kushughulikia changamoto mbalimbali kwa watoto yatima na vituo vya kulelea watoto yatima.
Kupitia kampeni hiyo, mamia ya watoto yatima wameweza kusaidiwa na maisha yao kuboreshwa, suala ambalo jamii nzima na wateja wa Vodacom wanajivunia.
“Tutaendelea kuwapatia wateja wetu kile wanachostahili kwani bila ya mchango wao Vodacom Tanzania isingekuwa hapa ilipo leo. Nawatakia waislamu wote kheri katika mwezi huu mtukufu wa Ramadhan,” alihitimisha Meza.

Wateja wa Vodacom kupata muda wa maongezi wa shilingi 1000 kila wanunuapo Luku
Kampuni ya simu za mkononi ya Vodacom Tanzania imezindua ofa mpya kwa wateja wanaotumia huduma ya M-pesa kununua Luku ambapo sasa kila mteja atakae tumia huduma hiyo atapata muda wa bure wa maongezi wa shilingi elfu 1000 bila ya kujali ni mara ngapi mteja amenunua Luku kwa siku.
Muda huo wa maongezi ambao utadumu kwa siku mbili, mteja ataweza kuutumia kupiga simu kutoka Vodacom kwenda Vodacom na kutuma ujumbe mfupi wa maneno kwenda mitandao yote Tanzania.
Huduma hiyo ya kununua Luku kupitia M – Pesa inawawezesha wateja mbalimbali kulipia na kununua umeme mjini na vijijini na kwa urahisi. Ili wateja kujua salio la muda huo wa bure wa maongezi, watahitajika kupiga *102# au *103#.
Akizungumza na waandishi wa habari wakati wa uzinduzi huo, Mkurugenzi mtendaji wa kampuni ya Vodacom Tanzania Bwana Rene Meza, amesema kuwa ofa hiyo imelenga kuwahamasisha wateja wa Kampuni ya Vodacom kuendelea kutumia huduma ya M-pesa kununua Luku ikiwa ni njia ya kuendelea kuboresha huduma ya M-pesa sio tu kwa kutuma na kupokea pesa bali hata kuwawezesha wateja kufanya malipo mbalimbali kama kulipa ada za shule kupitia huduma hiyo.
“Ni kwa sababu hiyo ndio maana tunawapa motisha wateja wanaotumia huduma ya M-pesa kununua LUKU kwani tunataka waendelee kutumia huduma hii kadri wawezavyo na hata kuhamasisha wateja wote wa Vodacom kutumia huduma hiyo” alisema Meza huku akiongeza kuwa wale wote ambao hawajatumia huduma hiyo sasa wanayo sababu ya kuitumia.
“Huduma hii ni muafaka katika maisha ya sasa kwani inaokoa muda mwingi wa mazungumzo kwa wateja wetu. Napenda kuwapa changamoto wale ambao hawatumii huduma hii kuanza kuitumia kwani sasa tunaishi katika dunia ambayo ni muhimu kutunza muda” alisisitiza Meza.
Ofa hii imekuja punde tu baada ya kampuni hiyo kuzindua ofa nyingine mapema mwezi iliyotoa muda wa bure wa maongezi kwa wateja wanao tumia huduma ya M – Pesa kila wanapotuma na kupokea pesa.
Kwa mujibu wa Meza, kampuni ya Vodacom Tanzania inajivunia namna ambavyo wateja wake wanavyoiunga mkono katika huduma mbalimbali zinazotolewa na kampuni hiyo. Vodacom yazindua tuzo za Blogs na website nchini
Kampuni ya simu ya Vodacom Tanzania leo imezindua tuzo ilizozipa jina la ‘Vodacom Award of Digital Excellence’.
Katika tuzo hizo blogs na website kumi bora nchini zitatuzwa kutokana na juhudi na mafanikio yake, jambo ambalo ni la kwanza kufanywa na Vodacom Tanzania.
Hiyo itakuwa tuzo na mpango wa ushirikiano ambao ni kama dalili ya mtandao huo kujitahidi katika kuendeleza sekta ya habari za kidigitali nchini.
Mkurugenzi mtendaji wa Vodacom Tanzania Rene Meza, amesema Vodacom inauona uchapishaji, uzalishaji na mawasiliano ya digitali kama kitu muhimu katika kuiendeleza jamii.

Wateja wa Vodacom kupata muda wa maongezi kwa kutumia M-PESA
Wateja kupokea muda wa maongezi wa shilingi 50 bure kila watumapo fedha kwa watumiaji wa M-Pesa waliojiandikisha.
Kampuni ya simu ya Vodacom leo (June 26) imezindua ofa ambayo itawafanya wateja wote wa M-pesa waliojiandikisha kupata muda wa maongezi kwa kila watumapo ama kupokea fedha.
